"That We May Speak...Our Ministry of Advocacy" is a four-session adult or youth Bible study available from Augsburg Fortress  Order online or phone 800-328-4648 and ask for item 34.118120.2100, ISBN 6-0001-1812-0.

The four sessions in the resource 1) focus on scripture, the catechism, and social statements of the ELCA; 2) explore the tough questions about politics and the church; 3) engage church leaders in conversation on the role of public policy; 4) and build skills in the ministry of action.

The title of the study is based on a hymn in the Lutheran Book of Worship, "Lord, Speak to Us, that We May Speak" (LBW 403). The hymn suggests a variety of ways that God's people speak and act out the love of God.

The resource was written by Mark Cole and Faye Codding and edited by Paul Lutz. It is a joint product of the Division for Church in Society and the Division for Congregational Ministries of the ELCA.
